Keller is comprised of 18.5 square miles, just nine miles west of DFW Airport and four miles southeast of Alliance Airport, 15 miles northeast of Downtown Fort Worth and 25 northwest of Dallas. In 1990, Keller's population was 13, 683 with today's population reaching 36,328.
The Keller Independent School District encompasses more than 51 square miles and nine municipalities. Home to 32 campuses, which include three comprehensive high schools (9-12), five intermediate schools (5-6), five middle schools (7-8), and 18 elementary schools (K-4), the district serves more than 28,000 students.
Keller ISD prides itself on its outstanding academic reputation, boasting 20 TEA Exemplary and Recognized campuses and the 2007 Texas > State Teacher of the Year. In 2005-06, Keller ISD graduates were > offered $21.5 million in scholarships and were accepted into several of the nation's finest universities.
